I’m Joseph Ekele Abraham, known as Joesy Blaise—a spoken word artist, lyricist, and creative voice from Benue State, Nigeria. I grew up in Abuja and later studied Architecture at Federal Polytechnic Kaduna.
Coming from a family of seven, I had to step up early, especially after my older sibling got married. Balancing a tough academic course with my passion for music was difficult, especially with little financial support. After my National Diploma, I had to drop out and move to Lagos, where I worked in construction to support myself, my family, and my art.
Despite the challenges, I kept sharing my spoken word content online, and in 2022, my work began to gain massive attention. People connected deeply with my message, often sharing how my words helped them make better life decisions. That support pushed me forward and gave me opportunities to collaborate with brands like 1xBET. My dream is for my voice and message to reach the world—to inspire, empower, and represent the unheard voices of the streets.
